Degi White Biryani (Ready to Cook Frozen Gravy)

  1. In 6 cups of boiling water, add 1 kg chicken, 1 tablespoon of salt, and whole spices pouch. Bring to boil, cover, and cook on low heat for 25 minutes or until the meat is tender (goat 45 minutes/ beef 60 minutes).
  2. Remove and discard the spices pouch.
  3. In 1 cup hot ghee/oil, add Jakhu's Degi White Biryani Gravy, stir for 2 to 3 minutes and add into the chicken and stock.
  4. Add 800g rice (washed and soaked for 40 minutes). If stock is less, add some water, cover, and cook on medium heat for 7 to 8 minutes.
  5. When the water is about to dry, sprinkle yellow food color over the rice, cover, and cook on high heat for 3 minutes, then leave on very low heat for 7 to 10 minutes until the rice is tender.

Jakhu’s tasty Degi White Biryani is ready.

Note: Keep Jakhu’s Degi White Biryani gravy at room temperature for 2 hours before use.
